At last! The dolphins of the Barcelona Zoo will be transferred to a sanctuary

This was ruled by the City Council of the Catalan city after a strong complaint from the Foundation for Advice and Action in Defense of Animals, with great support in social networks.

#AdeuDelfinari - goodbye dolphinarium, in Catalan - was the campaign slogan used by the Foundation for Advice and Action in Defense of Animals (FAADA) to ensure that the 6 dolphins that were in the Barcelona Zoo were finally transferred to a sanctuary, where they will spend the rest of their lives. The NGO, active since 2004, seeks to improve the welfare of animals by promoting and carrying out coordinated campaigns of promotion and campaigns at the level of the European Union.

The campaign, strongly supported by social networks, allowed Anak, Blau, Tumay, Nuik, Kuni and Leia to have a moving date to move to their new home. Meanwhile, Barcelona City Council will temporarily relocate the dolphins of the Zoo of Barcelona in two European dolphinariums, waiting for the works to be finalized in the Sanctuary of Baltimore (USA) so that they can be definitively moved there.
