A team of researchers from the University of Kitasato, one of the most prestigious in the field of research in Japan, together with the biotechnology company Epsilon Molecular Engineering and the commercial firm Kao, dedicated to medical and cosmetic research, have announced the discovery that the VHH antibody has the potential to suppress and neutralise the coronavirus, and therefore could be used for therapy against Covid-19.
The communication with which the group has announced its discovery indicates that "it has been confirmed that the infection of the new coronavirus in the cells was suppressed when this antibody was added. Thus, the HHV antibody has the ability to suppress the infection."
