Toys help children to spark their imaginations

Today, despite the invasion of digital devices, children still prefer classic toys.

Toys are more than just fun and games for kids. Most toys provide at least some opportunity for children to learn. The best toy engages a chid's sense, spark their imaginations and encourage them to interact with others. This idea is one that appears in Toy Story 4, where Mr Potato has a leading role.

In surveys conducted on the population of the United States, Mr Potato Head and Play-Doh appear as the best-rated toys by respondents. These results confirm the usefulness of traditional toys. Every new shape, colour, texture, taste, and sound is a learning experience for the child. When they grow up, people remember with love the elements they enjoyed and learned during their childhood. This is the example of toys that different generations like both parents and children.

Other elements also appear in the surveys and children adore, are trolls, toy phones, teddy bears, and plastic dinosaurs. With them, children can learn a lot from playing. By pretending to be something else and making one thing become another, children learn abstract thinking which is essential later in life. While playing, the world becomes limitless. Playing with toys is the first opportunity a child has to explore and interact with the world on their terms, and through doing this children experience a wide variety of physiological benefits.

Half of the parents who appear in the survey, answer that their favourite toys are still in the market. They have also bought them from their children because they want them to be part of their life. Even board games are still very popular. Playing board games entertain and brings people together through competitive and cooperative gameplay. Children develop their logic and reasoning skills, improve critical thinking and boost spatial reasoning. The ability to concentrate and focus for a longer period is also developed with just playing board games. Nowadays spending and uninterrupted time with your family may be quiet impossible given the schedules each family member has. Yet playing board games after a family dinner is one excellent way to get together.
