What would you say, if I tell you 10-year-old girl climbed to Yosemite's El Captain?
So, be ready for an impressive and inspiring story.
In this story, our girl is Selah Schneiter; who is the youngest person in history to climb the park's 3,000-foot-high rock formation, reaching the summit on June 12, 2019.
Her interest in mountaineering comes from her family. Her father, Mike, is a climbing instructor and he met with her mother, Joy while they were hiking in Yosemite years prior. Hence, Yosemite is special for this family.
"Our big motto was 'How do you eat an elephant?' Small Bites. One pitch at a time, one move at a time, one day at a time," Schneiter told CNN affiliate KFSN in Fresno.
Only a few adults successfully scaled Yosemite National Park's famous El Capitan in California. And a plus 10-year-old girl did it in triumph.
So, after this story, what is our motto? Probably it can be "Believe in yourself and never give up."
